ABOUT ME
Hey there!
I’m Alexus, a graphic designer with a passion for creating purposeful, beautiful design. My roots are in graphic design, and as my career has grown, I’ve expanded into digital marketing and advertising, giving me a broader perspective on how design can connect people with a brand.
I love the variety that comes with being a designer. I enjoy being involved throughout the creative process, from the initial idea and research to the final piece. I especially love collaborating with others to turn ideas into something real.
I earned my BFA in Graphic Design from Weber State University, where I built a strong foundation in design thinking, visual communication, and storytelling.
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me hiking, paddleboarding, reading, or planning my next adventure!

Marketing Designer
Freelance Design
APRIL 2024 – CURRENT
As a Marketing Designer at Automation Products Group, I work across a wide range of creative and marketing projects, from campaign planning and creative development to the final design and content. Working in a B2B environment has challenged me to think differently about how design communicates to a more technical audience, finding ways to make complex products and ideas clear, approachable, and engaging.
My work spans digital advertising, product launches, social media, trade shows, web design, photography, and videography. I enjoy being involved throughout the process, collaborating with different teams to understand what we’re trying to accomplish and finding the best way to bring those ideas to life visually.
OCT 2025 – CURRENT
Freelancing gives me a creative outlet outside of my day-to-day work and the opportunity to explore different types of design. I work directly with clients to understand their vision, budget, and timeline, then take projects from the initial idea through the final piece.
My freelance work has ranged from branding and logo systems to e-commerce websites, book design, and print production. I enjoy the variety of these projects and the freedom to explore new ideas, while learning how to balance my creative instincts with the needs of each client.
Jr. Graphic Designer
NOV 2022 – APRIL 2024
As a Junior Designer in Weber State University’s Student Affairs Technology Department, I worked on a variety of digital, print, and social media projects. I worked with different teams to understand what they needed, create the designs, and make adjustments based on feedback while keeping everything consistent with the Weber State brand.
This role also gave me experience working with different teams, managing multiple projects and deadlines, and taking designs from an initial idea to a finished piece.
WSU AIGA President
JAN 2024 – APRIL 2024
As President of AIGA, I worked with our officers and faculty to plan events and create opportunities for students to connect with each other and the design community. I kept track of meetings, projects, and event details to help everything stay organized and on track.
One of my favorite parts of the role was helping create the branding for our Fall and Spring BFA Exhibition Shows. I worked on the overall look and feel of each show and created promotional materials to help get students, faculty, and the community excited about the events.
The role gave me a lot of experience working with a team, managing projects, and using design to bring people together and get them involved.
